Bio:
Edi (pronounced Ee-dee) hates her birthname and never uses it. She used to introduce herself as “Edith, but please call me Edi” but dropped all but her nickname as people seemed to get confused or say her full name anyway. It was better if they didn’t know her full name at all.

Edi was bullied all throughout elementary school for how colorful and loud she was, labeled “childish” by other kids because of it. This confused her, when was she supposed to know when to put away childish things, and what if they still made her happy?

In junior high Edi hid herself. This was a period she was mostly known as “Edith”. Mousy brown hair, gray clothes. As long as she didn’t stand out she wouldn’t get picked on. Then she realized this way of living made her deeply unhappy, and she’d rather be bullied for being comfortable than hide herself and be accepted.

As such at 15 Edi is still very much (re)discovering herself and trying out new things. She keeps a journal to keep track of what works and what doesn’t, and what makes her happy every day. A part of her fears she won’t be able to keep this up and that she will regress to her gray middle school self.
